My inspiration, my muse, a huge part of my soul, a true light in my dark moments is ill. If you are a part of my dream, than this woman helped to create it. Please say a prayer for her. My favorite poem by her.

When I found this poem. I was sick. I could some days not even get out of bed. I do not know why it spoke to me so loudly, but her passion and belief in humanity reached me in a way that does not know words.
As I healed, shrunk, grew, shrunk, and grow again today, her song has always reminded me of what matters.
Some days, I have danced my journeys, other days I have marched and others yes I have crawled. During these amazing and humiliating moments in my life the above poem was always with me. The knowledge she shared with me in The Invitation, reinforced wisdom I believe we are all born with, but over the years I have needed reinforcement. She did just that for me.
She reinforced my belief that we are all worthy of the dream, of the adventure, that no matter our beliefs, where we come from, where we went to school, how much money we make, or don't make for that matter, we all have things in common. Pain, disappointment in self and others, passion, the need of love, and most importantly a story.
This story is one that can break us if we allow it too but if we choose to find the similarities, to see beyond our differences, to push the bar a little higher and reach for it, then we can live the story together, and be strong enough to dream once more.
The Invitation taught me that together we can rise again, be strong, and heal.
Please say a prayer for her. We may not agree on everything all the time. We may see things differently, our lifestyles may be different, and we may choose to communicate in different ways. I might still believe in The school yard game Red Rover, and 1,2, and 3rd place awards for elementary school children, she might not, I don't know. What I do know is that we as women that have lived a life to the best of our abilities to be good and true.
My life would be less, definitely different, possibly not at all if it was not for her, for this poem that I found in my darkest of days.
Please say a prayer for her. Thank you Oriah for making my world a better place to be.
